WWII Vets to be honored at capitol ceremony

Friday, at the Wisconsin State Capitol, WWII veterans will be honored in a special ceremony on this 70th anniversary of the D-Day landings at Normandy, which occurred June 6th, 1944.

The honorees include:

1st Sgt. Ray Nelson of Beloit, 401st GIR, 101st Airborne, 325 GIR, 82nd Airborne Herb Huebschen of Beloit, 325 PIR, 82nd Airborne Staff Sgt. Gene Strutzenberg of Brodhead, 504 PIR, 82nd Airborne Staff Sgt. Lawrence "Larry" Michaelis of Madison, 327th GIR, 101st Airborne (veteran of Market Garden and the Battle of the Bulge) -
