Madison Police search for Walgreens robber

UPDATED Tuesday, November 19, 2013 --- 2:52 p.m.

Madison Police say officers have arrested the man suspected of robbing an East Washington Ave. Walgreens today.

An officer spotted the suspect in the 4800 block of East Washington Ave.

The man took off running and jumped into a car at a nearby gas station.

The car's owner was pumping gas at the time. The suspect tried to drive off, but the keys were not in the ignition.

Officers arrested 27-year-old Benjamin Zaemisch for robbery and other tentative charges.

Madison Police are searching for a man who robbed a Walgreens Tuesday morning.

The crime happened around 8:50 a.m. at the 3710 E. Washington Ave. location.

The robber passed a note at the pharmacy. He got away with cash and fentanyl patches.

A weapon was implied, but not seen.

A police dog was brought in to track the robber, but he is still on the loose.

Police describe the robber as: Male, white, 6'4", thin build, thin mustache, acne, wearing sunglasses.
